Winning Consortium Simandou donated a pick-up vehicle to the ANSS of Guinea
November 2, 2020, Conakry, Guinea – Today, Winning Consortium Simandou donated a pick-up vehicle to the National Health Security Agency (ANSS) of the Republic of Guinea. The donation ceremony took place at the Cité Chemin de Fer in Conakry. Dr. Bouna YATASSAYE, Deputy Director General of the ANSS, and Ms. JIANG Xiaobei, Head of Winning Consortium Simandou SAU and Director General of the Conakry Office participated in the donation ceremony.
According to Ms. JIANG Xiaobei, the Consortium has always placed the realization of social responsibilities in an important position of the company’s strategy. Since the appearance of Covid-19 in Guinea, the Consortium has always remained alongside the community and the people of Guinea to jointly fight against the pandemic. The pick-up donation also aims to facilitate the anti-epidemic work of the ANSS, to contribute once again to the fight against Covid-19, and to assume corporate social responsibility.
Dr. Bouna YATASSAYE, Deputy Director General of ANSS expressed his gratitude to Winning Consortium Simandou for its financial and logistical support to ANSS since the beginning of the pandemic, while affirming that the support of private companies is very important for help Guinea overcome this health crisis.
The Consortium is one of many actors involved in promoting local development in Guinea. Firmly committed to the concept of sustainable development, the Consortium is committed to actively practicing corporate social responsibilities. Since the outbreak of the health crisis, the Consortium has participated in the fight against the pandemic through a multitude of forms, including donating funds and medical supplies and normalizing support for the prevention of the epidemic in communities. As of April 21, 2020, the Consortium has offered a large batch of anti-epidemic medical equipment and materials worth an estimated USD 2 million to Guinea. As of April 28, 2020, a large amount of medical materials, including medical gloves, medical masks, test kits, etc., have been contributed to Boké and Kamsar hospitals by the Consortium. As of July 21, 2020, the Consortium has donated 10 prefabricated rooms to the Sino-Guinéenne hospital as well as materials to equip these rooms.
