K\u00e9rouan\u00e9, Guinea, July 20, 2020<\/strong> \u2013 Although the Winning Consortium Simandou iron ore project in Simandou has not officially started, its community public welfare project has already started. the N2 road maintenance project from Kankan to K\u00e9rouan\u00e9 started on 3 July. Construction workers as well as construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, dump trucks were deployed and started the works. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Due to the challenges of logistical support and heavy rains, many difficulties have to be overcome for maintenance work. Currently, pit filling and maintenance works are completed for the first 4 km section from K\u00e9rouan\u00e9 to Kankan. Apart from this, 21 borrow pits have been identified in an 82 km section, which constitutes a good basis for the following works. To expedite the works and ensure that the N2 road is unblocked as soon as possible, a large number of Consortium equipment and engineering personnel left Boke on July 15 for reinforcements.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
